Currently based in New York, Ann Aarat is a singer, songwriter, music producer, sound designer, and DJ originally from Delhi, India. Formerly known under the moniker Taceō, Ann began releasing music in 2023 before relocating to New York to pursue a Master’s degree in Songwriting and Production at Berklee College of Music, NYC.
After completing her undergraduate studies and gaining industry experience through internships in Mumbai, India, Ann made the move to New York to expand her artistry and immerse herself in a new creative community. Since then, she’s been actively DJing across the city and has found a natural connection in sharing her own productions alongside the genres and sounds she loves.
Ann’s creative journey has led her to fall in love with sound design and DJ culture, which has heavily influenced her musical direction. Her current focus is on crafting unique, textural soundscapes using only field recordings, vocal samples, and Ableton’s stock tools. She’s building a distinctive sonic identity through this minimalist, experimental approach, and is gradually working toward bringing her sound design skills into the world of film scoring.

Her vision is to make unique sounds using just sounds from daily life things, people and Ableton.
